Kuih Lapis Serikaya Coklat

It is my first kuih lapis I made and it turned out to be a bit soft.. I have few packs of hoen kwe flour that will expired soon.  Suddenly when I’m browsing Kak Jun’s blog and she make this kuih lapis and have Hoen Kwe flour in it, that’s why I give it a try..Thank you to Kak Fida from MyResipi for her delicious kuih lapis.

Here’s the recipe..

Kuih Lapis Serikaya Coklat

  • 300 g tepung gandum*- (3 cwn rata dan keluarkan 3 sb rata)
  • 60 g tepung hoen kwee*- (6 sb rata)
  • 360 g gula halus* – (1 3/4 cwn rata)
  • 2 biji telur*
  • 1500 ml santan* (akak guna 500ml santan kotak+1050ml air)
  • 1/2 sk garam*
  • 50 ml santan (ambil dr santan yg tlh di sukat)
  • 25 g serbuk koko – (4 sb rata)
  • sedikit pewarna kuning – i used pink color

Cara-cara

  1. Satukan kesemua bahan2 yg bertanda * dlm sebuah mangkuk dan kacau rata.
  2. Serbuk koko dan 50ml santan dibancuh dan ketepikan.
  3. Adunan (1) tadi ditapis dan dibahagi 2 bahagian,1 diwarnakan kuning dan 1 lagi dicampurkan dgn campuran koko dan tapis.
  4. Panaskan loyang yg bergris dalam kukusan dan tuang adunan kuning dan kukus selama 5 min.
  5. Tuang pula adunan koko atas lapisan kuning,tanpa mengeluarkan loyang,dan kukus selama 5 min.dan lakukan dgn mengukus adunan selapis2 berselang-seli warna hingga habis dan kukus lapisan terakhir selama 15-20 min. agar kuih masak keseluruhannya.
  6. Biar kuih sejuk di dalam loyang dan bolehlah dipotong kecil dan disajikan.

p/s: I did not kukus this kuih, but i used bran-marie method..🙂 I’ve no pengukus..  :(  Well it turned out just fine..🙂

 

a bit soft.. next time need to cook a bit longer if using my oven..🙂
